Dandelion
Dandelion has grown wild across the mountain slopes of Hunza, Gilgit, and the broader Karakoram ranges for centuries. Long before it became a global wellness trend, the people of Hunza were brewing it as an everyday remedy, for liver health, digestion, and natural detox. At Hunza Foodways, we wild-harvest dandelion from altitudes above 2,000 meters, far from farms and chemicals, and prepare it in small batches in Rahimabad Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan.
We offer dandelion in two forms. Dandelion Tea combines the leaves, flowers, and roots into a lighter, balanced cup, ideal for daily use, liver support, and as a caffeine-free coffee alternative. Dandelion Root contains only the concentrated root, richer and earthier in taste, and clinically studied for its potential anti-cancer properties, antioxidant content, and immune support.
Both products are 100% pure, free from additives, and sourced exclusively from the wild mountains of Northern Pakistan. No farming. No pesticides. Just dandelion the way it has always grown in Hunza.
Buying dandelion from Hunza Foodways means you’re getting the real thing, gathered by hand, sun-dried in open Himalayan air, and packed by the women farmers of Gilgit-Baltistan. Every order directly supports this community.
