How to Brew Olive Leaf Tea

There are a few good ways to prepare this tea depending on how strong you want it.

The simplest method: rinse a pinch of dried leaves briefly under running water. Pour freshly boiled water over them and steep for 8 to 10 minutes. Strain and drink. The taste is mild, slightly earthy, with a clean finish.

For a stronger brew: bring 15 to 20 grams of leaves per litre of water to a boil and let them simmer gently for 3 to 5 minutes before straining. You can even use the same leaves a second time by simmering them again in fresh water for 8 to 10 minutes, which pulls out a second round of beneficial compounds.

Avoid steeping for too long on your first try as the flavour can turn bitter. Start gentle and adjust to your taste.
